Shipping Information


Shipping Methods:

Bright Idea Shops provides shipping by the most economical and cost effective way for our customers. Most of our products are larger in size and weight and usually ship by common carrier trucking. We will choose the best carrier for the delivery location and the type products being shipped. You may request special services such as residential delivery, power lift gate, expedited service, construction site delivery or call in advance of delivery. These special services are at an extra charge and need to be identified at the time your order is placed. 


Smaller products ship by UPS or FedEx. Shipments will be made by ground delivery unless there are other expedited services requested.


Shipping and Handling Charges:

Shipping and Handling are F.O.B. (Free on Board) at shipping point. Shipping and Handling Charges will be calculated and provided with the confirmation of your order. Customers are responsible for all shipping and handling charges. Bright Idea Shop aggressively seeks and negotiates the lowest shipping costs and passes these cost savings directly to our customers.


General shipping hours are week days, 8AM to 5PM. Should you have special receiving hours at your point of delivery please note this at the placement of your order.


Customers may arrange their own shipping services at their own request.


Tracking Orders:

We are capable of tracking most shipments thru our online communications with our shipping companies.


Damage During Shipping:

We use the best packaging methods to prevent product damage during delivery, but occasionally damage does occur. Freight damages are the responsibility of the shipping company. We will work with you in order to make sure that the damage costs are recovered.  Please inspect you shipment at the time of delivery and note any damages on the bill of lading prior to signing for receipt of delivery. Please contact our customer service department a 330-258-0168 for a return authorization number or replacement instructions. Damage or shortage claims must be reported within 10 days of receipt of delivery.


Partial Shipments:

When ordering multiple products on an order, they may be shipped from different shipping points or warehouses. This causes different arrival dates for your products ordered. Rest assured your entire order will be shipped as quickly as possible.


Lead Time for Shipping:

Many of our products are available for immediate shipment while other products may be custom built for your order. Note on our website that there is an icon showing the current lead times for that particular product. However shipping lead times are contingent upon merchandise availability and credit verifications. Shipment lead times are generally provided with order confirmation. We find the busy period in the Summer time is where you will experience the longest lead times. Early order placement with sufficient lead times will help us provide the best delivery service possible. Please let us know should you have a specific target delivery date for your order.

Return Policy and Return Authorization Number:

Returns are subject to a 20% restocking charge. In advance of returning any product, please call our Customer Service Personnel at 330-258-0168 to explain the circumstances of your return. A “ Return Authorization Number” will be provided, which will track any applicable adjustments to your invoicing.


Delivery Refusal:

If an order with no shipping damage is refused at delivery, this order will be handled as a return order per our Return Policy and subject to restocking charges and the freight charges for the returned product. The customer is responsible for all redelivery charges.
